Oil separators / Oil collectors are prefabricated systems for the wastewater treatment. They are installed in tank stations, car wash stations and car stations.
They separate and collect silt and mineral oil products from the waste water in accordance with European Standard EN858. These systems are classified in 2 main categories:
• EN 858 class I with a coalescence filter
• EN858 class II gravity driven
Septic Tanks

Septic Tanks consist of a series of chamber in which the organic waste from buildings will separate, settle
down and anaerobic treated by bacteria.
They are manufactured from linear polyethylene [HDPE] with the Rotational Moulding method, is absolutely sealed, they will not be degraded by waste water and have unlimited life. The septic tank is shaped in such a way that the incoming flow will be decelerated to a slow and uniform flow to allow separation between solid particles, which will settle down to the bottom of the tanks, from the ones that are lighter (oil, fat and lightweight solids), that will float at the surface. Using a combination of two chambers, it will prevent sludge and floating particles to enter the second chamber. Installation requires minimal time and can be accomplished without special tools; the operation does not require electrical power.

Studies from environmental organisations revealed that, liquid waste from various human activities show an increasing trend to grease and oil content. This fat substances, once they enter the sewage system, cause a gradual blockage as well as unpleasant odours.

Αυτά όταν περάσουν στο δίκτυο αποχέτευσης, προκαλούν σταδιακή απόφραξη καθώς και δημιουργία ενοχλητικών οσμών. Σήμερα η εθνική νομοθεσία απαιτεί όλες οι εγκαταστάσεις υγειονομικού ενδιαφέροντος να διαθέτουν λιποσυλλέκτη για την εύρυθμη λειτουργία των τοπικών κεντρικών μονάδων βιολογικής επεξεργασίας.
